Proving your Impact for International Projects

This course is suitable if you are delivering or copyright Hannah Sheppardplanning to deliver development projects with partners in Sub-Saharan Africa and need support developing systems to help monitor, evaluate and measure the impact your work is having. Knowing the impact we make to the beneficiaries is critical in understanding what works and what doesn’t work. It is also increasingly important to provide funders, partners and Government the evidence that the work you do is having a beneficial impact.

This training course has been designed to meet the training needs of the individuals and organisations that make up Wales’ vibrant and innovative international development sector. The course is open to groups working beyond Africa.

This course will help you:

  • To understand the impact your work is having in both Wales and Africa
  • To understand why monitoring, evaluating and assessing impact is important and who it is for
  • To understand the basics of monitoring and evaluation
  • To understand the basics of measuring the impact of your work
  • To understand how to interpret data collected in the field
  • To understand how to incorporate M&E and impact assessment into your work using simple practical methods
